Despite our somewhat disappointing 2014/15 season, our current crop of players have plenty of potential. Former Liverpool star Gary McAllister believes we are more than capable of bouncing back next season, and has backed us for an instant return to the Champions League, as reported by Liverpool’s official website.

We have a hugely talented squad, and a number of promising young stars ready to help us make the step up. The future is looking bright, and hopefully with a handful of signings we can get that future started in 2015/16.
Having returned to the Champions League last season, we have unfortunately been consigned to the Europa League once again. McAllister has faith however, that if Brendan Rodgers makes the right additions this summer, then we will be back among Europe’s elite the following year.
“[Other teams] will strengthen so that puts the pressure on Brendan to get back in there,” he said, as quoted by LFC.com.
“But you go back two seasons and Liverpool were inches away from actually being champions.
“So with the right additions I think Liverpool can get into that top four.”
We have already made some really good acquisitions, and hopefully there’s more to come. We were inches away from the title two seasons ago, and we are more than capable of challenging the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City for the title.
