Top Premier League sell on clauses – Crystal Palace set to benefit from Clyne’s Liverpool switch

1) David Bentley – £15m

Tottenham from Blackburn

Arsenal receive £7m

With the calibre of player in this list, it’s strange to see David Bentley right at the top. He earned Arsenal a whopping £7m when he joined North London rivals Tottenham however, making the switch back in 2008.

Other notable mentions:

Gareth Bale – £85m

Southampton were set to receive a massive 25% of any sell on fee for Bale, but they foolishly waived the sell on clause for a one time fee of £3m.

The would have received over £20m if they had have held their nerve.

Raheem Sterling – £50m?

Sterling has been heavily linked with a big money move to Manchester City recently, with the Citizens looking to bolster their home grown talent.

We signed him from QPR for just £500,000 in 2010, but the London club will also get 25% of any potential sell on fee.

That means if we sell him for the reported £50m, then QPR will get a whopping £12.5m.
