Brendan Rodgers has given his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Europa League tie with FC Sion, and James Pearce of the Echo tweeting his most interesting quotes.
Like the first match versus Bordeaux, it looks like the youngsters will get a run-out, with Rodgers confirming that Jordan Rossiter will definitely make his second start of the season.
Up top though, two goal weekend hero Daniel Sturridge will not feature, with Rodgers choosing to save him for the Merseyside derby.
With Christian Benteke injured, Divock Origi may get the nod up top, with the Belgian so far struggling to make a name for himself since arriving on Merseyside.
Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and Dejan Lovren remain long-term injury victims, although Joe Allen will likely come back into the side having missed out at the weekend.
Rodgers on Sturridge: “He won’t be involved in the game. We’ll keep him fresh for the weekend.He’s still building his way towards fitrness.”
