A small piece of information we’ve found on Sadio Mane’s injury which *should* please LFC fans

Annoyingly, there’s been no word from Liverpool officially on Sadio Mane’s reported injury, but that actually suggests to us that the winger is fine…

Liverpool fans almost broke the internet when we heard our summer signing was subbed after 66 minutes against Namibia – with various, speculative reports claiming the 24-year-old had badly hurt his knee.

But according to a fan at the game, who’s been inundated with questions from Reds all over the world ever since – it’s much to do about nothing.

“I was at the stadium – he did not come out [injure himself] – it is the coach who wanted to preserve, so there’s nothing serious,” Elhadji Drame said on Twitter.

“After the game he was walking correctly and came to greet fans.”

Obviously this guy’s word is not the law, but it does suggest Mane’s not hurt seriously if he was walking after the game and there being obvious incident in which he was injured…

Hopefully, it’s much ado about nothing!

We’d be delighted if the winger could start against Premier League champions Leicester City on Saturday…

He’s been our best player so far this term, scoring a beautiful goal v Arsenal, shining against Burton and causing countless problems with his pace and direct running elsewhere.

Fingers crossed he’s fine.

UPDATE: Sadio Mane is 100% FINE. Chris Bascombe has reported as much in the Telegraph. Hoora!
