We’re trying not to get too excited about Liverpool’s youngsters, but there’s a good feeling about the club at the moment, so we don’t think there’s anything too wrong with a bit of positivity!
Trent Alexander-Arnold plays right-back for the Under-23s, but he has all the physical and technical traits to be a box-to-box midfielder. These highlights from his performance this term in both pre-season friendlies and the Under-23 games show a youngster with enormous potential. He can shoot, dribble, tackle and assist – and he’s not long 17.
