James Milner is a doubt for our game against Crystal Palace tomorrow following an illness earlier in the week.
In light of the news, fans have been debating who should start at left-back in the Saturday evening encounter.
It is perhaps a sign of how low Alberto Moreno’s stock has fallen that some people are seriously backing Emre Can to play ahead of him.

Can is a great player, but was only ok in games he played at right-back. It seems hugely unlikely that he’ll be played at left-back; he has never played there in a red shirt.
Here’s what’s being said on Twitter:
@CarlMason79 totally agree..in the whelan mould.. I’d prefer Can to come in at LB over Moreno if Milner doesn’t make it

Is Milner out tomorrow?
Andros Townsend exploiting Moreno’s space is Halloween shit alright! #LFC

I don’t think I can take 90 mins of Moreno at LB tomorrow if Milner is out ?? #LFC

If Milner isn’t fit enough for the Palace game, then Moreno has to seriously step-up!!

If Milner is unfit, I wouldn’t mind playing Moreno in this type of game. Pace with Clyne on the right and him on left could favor us. #LFC

I’m uneasy if Milner is out against Palace, but it’s a great opportunity to Moreno and I hope he takes it.

Didn’t realise that Milner was potentially out tomorrow. I fancy Zaha to have Moreno up, all day long.
