Divock Origi will make his first Premier League start of the season tomorrow against Bournemouth, writes James Pearce in the Echo.

The young Belgian is on the back of two goals in his past two matches, but has yet to begin a game in the top flight due to the front-three of Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

However, with Coutinho injured until the New Year and Daniel Sturridge still sidelined with a calf strain, the 21-year-old will get his chance.

Origi is exceptionally talented, both technically and physically, but now has the chance to prove it on a regular basis up until Christmas.

We’ve got a run of crucial matches to play, and if he continues finding the back of the net, he’ll keep his spot in the side.

His role as a backup forward so far is testament to our squad’s strength, but with injuries beginning to affect us, it’s crucial that he (and Sturridge when fit) step up to the plate.
