Liverpool on verge of finalising £150k midfielder signing

Liverpool are constantly looking to bring in the country’s most talented teenagers to the Academy, and look to have snared another in the run up to Christmas.

We’ve agreed a £150k deal to sign Notts County’s Jack Bearne, report the Mirror, with the League Two club unfortunately in a position where they have to sell due to financial problems.

They’re in £500k worth of debt and needed help from the Football League to pay players’ wages in November. Owner Ray Trew is desperately trying to sell, but also raise as many funds as possible in the process.

Hopefully, our £150k can go a long way in securing their future, as we’d hate the oldest football league club to go out of business – what a tragedy that would be.

Bearne, who at 14 was playing for County’s U18 side, will be hugely excited about the prospect of a Liverpool switch, where he’ll likely be able to work under Steven Gerrard – who should join the young set-up after Christmas.

What’s more, the teenager will see the likes of Ben Woodburn, Ovie Ejaria and Trent Alexander-Arnold currently on Liverpool’s bench and know that there’s a clear path to the first-team under Jurgen Klopp, although right now his development and improvement is the only target.
