This will be one of those goals we see time and time again over the years, but here’s how it sounded inside Goodison last night!
Without commentary, you can hear the noise rise when Daniel Sturridge looks to shoot on his left, with the sound deafening when the ball hits the post – before going mainly silent as Sadio Mane bags. All you can hear is the riotous Liverpool fans in one corner, while the rest of the ground goes completely quiet!
The goal was the least Liverpool deserved on the night, having dominated the game for 70 minutes and having more possession, chances and shots on goal.
It was Mane’s eighth of the Premier League campaign, making our Senegalese the highest scoring ‘non-striker’ so far. Costa, Sanchez, Ibrahimovic, Aguero and Lukaku have more, but all play as centre-forwards!
