The Liverpool transfer rumours continue. It’s going to be a long month.
It’s difficult nowadays to know which rumours to believe yet we still can’t help but take an interest in every name linked to the club.
RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg is the latest player to be a reported target for the Reds and his agent has done a good job of adding to the excitement by suggesting that his client could leave the Bundesliga club.
His agent Hasan Cetinkaya told Bild via the Liverpool Echo: “I can’t confirm any names. But after the great first half of the season, big clubs have reached out to me.”
“RB are on a good way to become a big club, which plays in Champions League soon. In spite of that I can’t promise that Emil will stay in Leipzig this winter.”
Forsberg has impressed in Leipzig’s debut season in the highest tier of German football and has been influential in his side’s surprise title challenge.
The Swedish midfielder has been capped 24 times for his country and has been a standout performer in the Bundesliga, scoring five goals and contributing nine assists.
It looks likely that there will be new faces arriving at Anfield by the end of the month with Jurgen Klopp clearly considering his options while Sadio Mane is away with Senegal at the African Cup of Nations.
Today it is Forsberg, who will it be tomorrow?
