Liverpool want AC Milan’s £15m hotshot, say Sky Italia, but Manchester United also keen

Another day, another link to a potential transfer target that simply won’t happen!

It’s abundantly clear Liverpool won’t buy anyone before the end of the month, yet the rumour-mill still keeps churning.

Today, a link from Sky Italia has emerged (translated by Metro), suggesting that our representatives are already talking with AC Milan regarding the £15m signing of M’Baye Niang.

The report suggests that Vincenzo Montella has told the 22-year-old he can leave, but that Manchester United and West Ham are also considering a move.

The rangy forward has only scored three times in 18 games this term and in truth, wouldn’t get in our first-team. He’s below the level of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi and both those forwards don’t get in Liverpool’s first-choice XI either.

We won’t be buying anyone in January and by the summer, we really hope our transfer targets are more exciting than Niang.

Expect us to go for the likes of Julian Brandt and maybe Christian Pulisic rather than the Frenchman.
