(Video) Trent Alexander-Arnold too good for England-U19s; LFC kid tears up Norway

England Under-19s eased to a 3-0 win over Norway yesterday and Trent Alexander-Arnold was the best player on the pitch…

Our right-back put in a bombarding performance from right-back and created all three goals through his lung-busting, powerful drives.

For the first, he beats two men and cuts back a lovely cross, before finding space in the box and allowing a team-mate to blast in for the second. Finally, he whips in another dangerous ball which lands at the feet of a team-mate, who can’t miss.

Alexander-Arnold is behind Nathaniel Clyne in Liverpool’s pecking order, but next season the teenager will be given even more opportunities.

He’s fast, powerful and has a wonderful footballing brain, too. With Liverpool likely to qualify for some form of European football next season, we can see Clyne and Alexander-Arnold rotating the position regularly – with the better performer eventually allowed to perform Premier League duties.

There’s also the prospect of Clyne moving to left-back, taking James Milner’s spot.
