(Video) Nuri Sahin’s heartbreaking interview goes viral

This video suggests to us that there’s no way Borussia Dortmund were in the right frame of mind to take the pitch in a Champions League quarterfinal less than 24-hours after someone tried to blow up their team bus…

An explosion which injured Marc Bartra and caused Tuesday night’s match in Germany to be postponed could have had far more dire consequences, yet the game was scheduled for the next day.

The Germans hosted Monaco and lost 3-2, despite putting in a valiant effort, but the consensus was they were nowhere their usual selves and the visiting french took advantage of that.

This interview from our former midfielder Nuri Sahin proves that.

The Turk was holding back tears during his post-match chat with a reporter, that lasted almost three minutes.

“I know we have a privileged life. We are lucky. But there is so much more than football in this world, and last night we felt it,” he said.

Watch the whole clip, here. Huge respect to Sahin for this.
