Nerves amongst Reds are beginning to show with Liverpool’s proposed move for Roma winger Mohamed Salah seemingly going quiet over the past week.
Frustration has undoubtedly stemmed from the pursuit of Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk recently collapsing after the club was forced to apologise for the manner in which it approached the deal.
Agreeing a fee had at one point emerged as the only obstacle standing between Liverpool signing Salah with an initial bid reportedly having been rejected by the player’s Italian employers.
There have been few developments since then with Liverpool believed to be reluctant to pay the £35million the Serie A side are asking for in exchange for a key player who scored 19 goals in all competitions last season.
Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, appeared to give fans further reason to worry on Friday as he issued a somewhat telling tweet and one many believe posed as a call for Liverpool to pay up.
Sometimes, good things come to those who don’t wait too long.
