PSG’s price-tag for Draxler is huge bargain; LFC would be mad not to pounce

PSG are willing to sell Julian Draxler for less than they paid for him, despite the German taking Ligue 1 by storm during the second half of last season.

The Times claim the French giants have told Draxler to find a new club after signing Neymar, putting a bargain £32m price-tag on his head.

When you consider that’s slightly more than Michael Keane cost Everton and less than Paulinho joined Barcelona for, it’s obvious to see what an opportunity this is.

Draxler scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for PSG and would undeniably boost our squad. The 23-year-old can play on either flank or at no.10 – meaning he can start on the wings if Sadio Mane or Mo Salah are absent or need a rest – or as a creative central player.

Liverpool don’t want to sell Coutinho, but if he eventually leaves next year, getting Draxler now and integrating him into the team as a long-term replacement of high quality makes perfect sense.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also keen, but Klopp wanted Draxler in January and spoke to him personally – meaning if we did want to go back in – we reckon something could be done.

It all depends if the boss still wants him though. For us, at £32m, it’s a no-brainer. We hope Liverpool agree.
