Coutinho made his return to the starting XI today against Burnley – and at times – looked like he’d never been away.
The Brazilian was playing in a deeper, creative role – from which he saw plenty of the ball.
His close-control was sublime and he picked out a number of nice passes, as well as playing sharp one-twos with the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino.
However, at times it looked like Coutinho was trying too hard, consistently blasting shots from range – none of which threatened.
He was subbed after 78 minutes, looking like he may have picked up an injury…
A 6/10, for us.
Joy😁 seeing Coutinho on the ball
