Journeyman Italian manager Serse Cosmi has claimed his dream is to one day manage Liverpool.

The 59-year-old has managed various Italian clubs, such as Palermo, Udinese and Lecce – most recently at Serie C outfit Trapani!

He never had a playing career, which is why like us, you’ve probably never heard of him.

Cosmi told Transfer Market Web Radio: “It would be a dream to manage Liverpool.

“It’s a team that has always fascinated me – just like Premier League clubs in general.

“It’s most likely that I will never coach the Reds, but doing so would represent a unique goal.”

We of course admire a man with such lofty ambitions!

But as he suggests, he’s unlikely to ever get the opportunity, sadly…

Jurgen Klopp has five years remaining on his contract, and barring something very, very calamitous, he’ll at least be here until the end of this and likely next season.

Ideally, he’ll see out his deal after collecting some trophies and Steven Gerrard will be primed as his replacement.

Our legendary former midfielder is currently learning his managerial ropes with our Under-18s – but he has everything you need to one day make it at the top.
