Liverpool’s plans for special friendly match next week at Melwood

Jurgen Klopp has requested the club find an opponent to play a 90 minute friendly at Melwood next week in which Adam Lallana can feature, reports the Telegraph.

The Englishman has not played this season due to a thigh injury picked up during pre-season, but is expected back following this latest international break.

When the first-team players return to training this Friday (Klopp’s given everyone a few days off…), Lallana should join in proper sessions with the hope of being ready for the Southampton clash on November 18.

We expect the opposition to be a lower league side or perhaps even an U23 outfit – and hopefully the Englishman can come through without any repercussions.

His absence hasn’t been discussed much, but it’s been incredibly detrimental to our campaign.

Nobody else in our squad provides the combination of work-rate and creativity like Lallana, who when fit, is one of the first names on Klopp’s team-sheet.

We’re very excited to see how the boss will incorporate him alongside Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Coutinho – all four of whom should be healthy for our next game barring any setbacks.
