‘A nice surprise for us…’ Mega transfer hinted at which will rock Anfield

Another day, another Brazilian shamelessly tapping up Coutinho!

This time it’s PSG’s ageing defender Thiago Silva, one of the best in the world at centre-back.

He’s suggested that Liverpool’s no.10 will reject the advances of Barcelona, continue to defy Jurgen Klopp and seek a move to Paris – following in good friend and compatriot Neymar’s footsteps.

“I talk a lot with Coutinho. I hope that at the end of the season or even before, it could be a nice surprise for us,” Silva is quoted as saying by the Independent

“I hope he will think well and that next year he will work with us.

“As with Neymar, I give him a lot of advice. But I think the most important thing for him is to make the best decision.”

Thiago Silva is still rated as one of the best central defenders on the planet, aged 33.

Silva’s idea that Coutinho may transfer to Ligue 1 in January is nonsense, in our opinion.

There is little chance Liverpool will actively weaken ourselves halfway through a Premier League and Champions League campaign.

Coutinho’s goal and assist versus Southampton on Saturday demonstrated how crucial a role he could play in a hopefully successful season.

In his past 14 Premier League games, he’s been involved in 15 goals (either a goal or an assist). For someone who operates deep and rarely ventures behind the opposition defence, that’s a world-class return.

Liverpool need to keep him fit as a priority, as injuries have already stunted him this term.

If the playmaker is desperate to depart in the summer, maybe we should consider it, but to sell in January would be foolish.
