Mohamed Salah proved to be the source of a miserable first half for Bournemouth left-back Charlie Daniels in Sunday’s clash at the Vitality Stadium.
The Egyptian was a menace throughout the opening 45 minutes and ensured his dominance paid off with a superb solo goal.
Salah contributed Liverpool’s third and took his tally to 20 goals for the season in the process as Jurgen Klopp’s men cruised to a 3-0 lead heading into the break.
The summer signing ran onto Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s incisive through ball on the right-hand side, before cutting in on his left foot and curling into the bottom corner.
It was the same move that Salah had threatened to score from on numerous occasions earlier in the half, with Daniels having been run ragged by the Premier League’s top scorer.
Liverpool, wary of Bournemouth’s 4-3 comeback win in the corresponding fixture last year, showed no nerves as they issued an emphatic response to disappointing draws against Everton and West Brom over the past two weeks.
