Juventus are disappointed that Emre Can has not yet put pen to paper on a Bosman contract and have given the German one week in which to do so, or the deal’s off the table.
That’s according to Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, translated for us by Football Italia.
Can has shown full commitment to Liverpool while on the pitch, and plans to do so for the rest of the season, but the fact he hasn’t accepted our terms proves he wants to leave.
Why, when he’s a starter under Jurgen Klopp for one of the biggest sides in Europe, confuses us – but we guess that’s the 24-year-old’s prerogative.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens if Can calls Juve’s bluff on this one.
Other top European sides are sniffing around our no.23 and if The Old Lady does pull out, there’ll be plenty of suitors ready and waiting.
There’s also the outside chance that if a move to Turin falls through, he’ll renew his contract with Liverpool.
Let’s just wait and see.
