Sadio Mane doubled Liverpool’s lead against Newcastle on Saturday to take his tally for the season to 14 across all competitions.
The forward finished an excellent team move in emphatic fashion, running onto Roberto Firmino’s delicately-weighted pass and firing beyond Martin Dúbravka.
His effort marked Liverpool’s 200th Premier League goal under Jurgen Klopp and followed up Mohamed Salah notching his 32nd goal of the season in the first half.
It served as the latest instalment in Mane’s return to form after a brief dip last month, not to mention meaning he, Salah and Roberto Firmino have now combined for 68 of Liverpool’s goals this season.
The Reds’ advance had been halted prior to Salah’s 40th minute opener, with Newcastle adopting a deep defensive approach and showing little attacking ambition in the process.
Here’s a look at Mane’s effort, after which he treated Reds to a familiar imitation of Firmino during his celebrations…
