Dad who filmed Carra ‘begs’ Sky Sports not to sack him

The man who filmed Jamie Carragher spitting out of his car window following his taunts has ‘begged’ Sky Sports not to fire the pundit, claims the Mirror.

Monday Night Football cancelled its early analytical segment last night and went straight into Manchester City’s victory over Stoke, with Carra suspended from duties.

There’s been plenty of discussion from everyone in football about whether the former Liverpool defender deserves his job back, but interestingly, the person who instigated the situation in the first place doesn’t want him to be fired.

The 42-year-old dad said: “We don’t want him to lose his job. It is not about that. We wanted an apology and explanation.

“He seems contrite. Everyone makes mistakes, we are all human.”

“He did seem extremely sorry,” added his wife.

We find this kind of behaviour a bit odd from a Manchester United fan who repeatedly used his phone on the motorway with his daughter in the front-seat, despite her pleading with him to stop; then selling the footage to a tabloid…

But we suppose what this incident proves is that there’s good and bad in everybody.

Carra’s apologies have been 100% honest and proper and he should be congratulated for that.

Hopefully, he can get his career back on track soon.
