This is an interesting story that’s been broken by TEAMtalk…
They’re claiming via an exclusive that Mo Salah has given a strong recommendation about Stoke City’s Egyptian flyer Ramadan Sohbi, who he plays with at international level.
TEAMtalk suggest that our scouts already watched Sobhi heavily before his 2016 move to the Britannia, and Stoke’s potential relegation will make a transfer relatively simple.
They claim that £15m would suffice to bring the winger to Anfield.
The 21-year-old is talented, quick and versatile and capable of playing on either flank in a 4-3-3, ideally, which Jurgen Klopp prefers.
For us though, we’re not sure Salah’s happiness will ever be dictated by the number of Egyptians he plays with. After all, he’s been at Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma as the only one – it’s something he’s very used to.
More important will be his contract and the chance of winning silverware at Anfield.
We do though need better backup options purchased in the summer, as if Salah got injured, our attack would all of a sudden lack pace and dynamism, with Coutinho sold in January.
