Liverpool lost to Chelsea yesterday and now face the genuine prospect of not qualifying for the Champions League next season via a top four finish.
We need to beat Brighton on the final day of the campaign to ensure it doesn’t happen, having picked up just two points against West Brom, Stoke and Antonio Conte’s side in our past three Premier League matches.

Fekir is leaving Lyon for €65m and LFC are now favourites
By Sunday evening though, most Reds were not talking about what went wrong at Stamford Bridge, but instead about a report from France which claimed Nabil Fekir to Liverpool was a Done Deal at £65m.
What’s more, Sadio Mane, seemed to know all about it an interview post-match!
“He will do very good things with us,” the forward told RMC, the outlet who are backing the claim the hardest.
“Nabil is a very great player. If that’s the case, we will be really happy to have him at home.”
“I think he will do very good things with us. Rejoice – we always need this kind of player… if we have him, it’ll be fire!”
Now, Mane was probably told by an interviewer that the transfer was finalised, rather than having insider knowledge, so we think this probably seems more definitive than it actually is.
Interestingly though, Get French Football News claim that RMC are the most reliable outlet there is where it comes to transfer stories, too:
Both the Nabil Fékir & Ousmane Dembélé – Liverpool stories this evening are undoubtedly surprising, but there is also undoubtedly no national outlet more reliable for transfer news than RMC.

Jurgen Klopp played down any reports post-match, but he didn’t rule Fekir out, instead saying that he can’t discuss rumours and that he’d already said too much.
