In fact, it’s Solanke’s first goal in English senior football.
The finish was impressive, slamming the ball in just below the bar with his right-foot – but in truth – it was Mo Salah’s assist that was most impressive.
The Egyptian, running from within his own half, beat two players, both of whom were trying to hack him down, and fed his team-mate with a perfect through-ball.
It’s great to see our no.11 back in form after a few quiet games. The week break between our defeat last weekend and today’s game has been an enormous blessing.
