At the beginning of this season, Alexander-Arnold was set to support Nathaniel Clyne as our right-back sub, but an impressive summer and an injury to his more experienced team-mate pushed him up the pecking order.

Fellow youngster Joe Gomez also played well at right-back, but injuries to the 21-year-old have taken their toll and the position is now very much Trent’s.
Highlights of his campaign include pocketing Leroy Sane in two legs against Manchester City and an equally impressive outing in the first-leg of the semi-final with AS Roma.
Before his 50th senior appearance and his 20th birthday, Trent will have played in a Champions League Final and the World Cup.
There’s dream seasons – and then there’s dream seasons!
