It’s quite nice that this summer isn’t going to be dominated by stories about our best player leaving, like last one was with Coutinho.
The Brazilian wanted to join Barcelona all along, but crucially, Salah is happy at Liverpool – where in just one season he became recognised as one of the best players on the planet following a 44-goal campaign.
Instead, we’re focussing on the brilliant players that have and will arrive ant Anfield.
We’ve already secured Naby Keita and Fabinho, but deals for Nabil Fekir and Xherdan Shaqiri are likely around the corner (Independent).
If we get those two deals over the line, we’d love Liverpool to bring in Alisson from AS Roma, too.
If we get the Brazilian over the line, we could theoretically start like this next term: Alisson; Trent, Robbo, VVD, Lovren; Fabinho, Keita, Fekir; Mane, Salah, Firmino
