The next two weeks could be mighty exciting ones for Liverpool fans if all goes to plan.
According to Dave Maddock, the Mirror’s LFC honcho, the club will try and secure a new goalkeeper and a playmaker by August.
He tweeted the news this morning:
Right, off to watch #LeTour. Should be quiet when I'm away…just the small matter of Liverpool signing a keeper and a no. 10, and Everton a centre half, someone for the left side and a striker. Hopefully in the next fortnight….!

Even the most casual Liverpool fan will be able to tell you that the players in those positions we’re most keen on are Alisson for between the sticks and Nabil Fekir to fill the shirt formally worn by Coutinho.
The transfer window closes on August 8, so the club needs to move quickly to secure the duo before the new campaign gets underway on the 12th.
Ideally, we’ll have the Brazilian keeper and French World Cup winner amongst our ranks on Opening Day v West Ham.
Alisson looks set for a Roma exit after he removed the club from his Instagram bio, with his agent set for talks today that will reiterate his desire to move on [Di Marzio].
Fekir was agreed before the World Cup but broke down due to a medical issue, although Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas reckons a deal can be revived [Echo].
