‘A new adventure’ Alisson describes LFC move for first time

Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson has thanked AS Roma and looked to his Liverpool future.

“I want say thanks to AS Roma fans,” Alisson told Goal while at the airport yesterday, before heading to John Lennon. “Now, it’s time for a new adventure.”

The 25-year-old is undergoing a medical today and we predict the £66m transfer will be announced this evening – barring any complications.

Alisson will become the world’s most expensive goalkeeper and join the other two Brazilians in our ranks: Roberto Firmino and Fabinho.

We sold Coutinho in the winter and Lucas last summer, so we’re glad Jurgen Klopp has sorted Bobby out with two new pals!

Last term, the only two goalkeepers in Europe with a higher save percentage than our imminent signing were David de Gea and Jan Oblak, according to Goal.

So that’s the calibre of stopper we now have available to us.

If he can replicate that form for Liverpool, we have a genuine chance of challenging for the title.

The club and Klopp deserve massive praise for getting it done.
