Alisson says all the right things on Twitter following Anfield debut

Alisson was solid as a rock last night against Torino.

He conceded his first goal since arriving for a £66m fee, but cannot be blamed for it, after Andrea Belotti bulleted in a header at close-range. Apart from that, the 25-year-old was solid, calm with the ball at his feet and showed good distribution.

Anfield was very kind to him, cheering his every touch and giving him a rapturous ovation upon his second-half substitution.

And the player appreciated it greatly, offering his thanks on Twitter after the game, along with the #YNWA hashtag, which always goes down well!

We’re in love with Alisson’s distribution, which looks as good as Pepe Reina’s during the Spaniard’s heyday.

He’s a big presence between the sticks as well. Combined with the signing of Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool’s backline looks ten ties stronger than it did this time last season.

Our defence has let us down on countless occasion, but provided Alisson lives up to his fee, we’ll be able to fight for silverware this term with our breathtaking front-three looking as sharp as ever.
