Birthday boy Trent Alexander-Arnold outlines how the Reds can make his day

Trent Alexander-Arnold can no longer be called a teenage sensation; as of today, he must simply be known as a sensation.

Trent’s birthday falls on the day of possibly the Reds’ biggest game of the season in the Premier League – and all he wants as a present is a victory.

He told LiverpoolFC.com: “You want a good and happy day on your birthday – and nothing would make me happier than getting the three points.”

The Reds played City four times last season, winning three times, and Trent knows what is required to win again.

He added: “It’s the full concentration that you need – you cannot switch off at all because you’ll get punished. Against the top teams in the Premier League, like Man City and Chelsea, if you switch off for a second, a goal could be going in.

“That’s the difference – it has to be full concentration, not switching off or taking a break. We want to be on the front foot for the whole game.”

Let’s hope he and his teammates can provide a reason to celebrate for us all this evening.
