Fowler: Why Salah form is nothing to worry about

Reds legend Robbie Fowler – who knows a thing or two about scoring goals – insists Mo Salah will be fine this season despite scrutiny over his early-season form.

The Egypt winger has scored three Premier League goals in eight games so far, with some of the most difficult fixtures of the season having taken place in that period.

Fowler told Sky Sports: “I think he’ll still score goals, I think he’ll still score a lot of goals.

“What I like about Mo Salah is that his work ethic is brilliant, he doesn’t shy away from anything. What I would be more worried about is if he wasn’t getting chances.

“He will bang the goals in. I’m not sure he’ll hit the heights he did last year but he is still a magnificent player.”

With games against Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City out of the way, Salah will be able to have more regular goalscoring chances in the coming run of matches, where he is likely to boost his numbers.
