Sadio Mane is both a brilliant footballer and a wonderful person.
Not many young millionaires, possessed with jaw-dropping talent, have such shyness and humility.
But our Senegalese superstar certainly does.
And this clip from his time at Southampton, which for some reason has gone viral again, proves it… Mane had just scored the fastest hat-trick in the history of the Premier League against Aston Villa at St. Mary’s – and naturally wanted to take home the match-ball.
As a joke, referee Andre Mariner pretended to take it off him, but instead of kicking up a fuss (as nearly every other attacker would), Mane was too shy to say anything!
Mariner gave him it back and Mane realised he was only kidding, thankfully…
Remember when Andre Marriner pretended to take the ball from Sadio after he scored a hattrick and he was too shy and polite to argue 💗 pic.twitter.com/k4yMDwoQM4

This term, Mane has six goals already and looks set to beat his best tally in the Premier League, which was 13 both at Southampton and in his first campaign at Liverpool.
Last time out against Cardiff, Mane struck twice and is actually only one behind Eden Hazard in the race for the Golden Boot.
