Liverpool make ‘powerful offer’ that puts us ahead of Barca in race for Ligue 1 star – Report

Liverpool are yet again being linked to Adrien Rabiot, this time by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Their report, cited by the Express, says that Barcelona are now trailing Liverpool in the race to sign PSG’s midfielder after the Reds made a ‘powerful offer’ to Rabiot’s representatives.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and can legally put pen to paper with a new club come January 1 – less than two months away.

Rabiot is a fantastic player and someone we rate very highly, although sadly, Mundo Deportivo are not exactly the most reliable publication.

In their same report, they suggested Fabinho could be a makeweight in a transfer, which makes no sense as Rabiot’s deal would be a Bosman and technically wouldn’t even have to involve PSG.

What’s more, we’re not going to sell our fantastic Brazilian anchorman, who’s finally got himself in the side.

Still, this is a story we’ll keep an eye on. We’ve heard from good sources that the interest definitely exists, so it depends on if a financial package can be agreed between the clubs.
