Klopp’s classy message for Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic

Jurgen Klopp has expressed his sympathies for opposite number Slavisa Jokanovic, the Fulham manager, who is under severe scrutiny at the bottom end of the Premier League.

Klopp told LiverpoolFC.com: “I am wishing them all the best for the rest of the season. I watched them last year a lot in the Championship and it was brilliant.

“I wished him good luck – that’s what I think makes sense and what we always do. It was not a long talk, but I have absolute sympathy for him in his situation.

“For us [the result] was good and for them not that good; that’s part of the job.”

The only important thing for the Reds was that Mo Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri’s goals earned the three points. It means Liverpool are top, and Fulham bottom, with a 25-point gap between the two teams.

After Everton took a point from Stamford Bridge, the Reds are now two points ahead of Chelsea with almost a third of the campaign gone.
