Mo Salah sends glorious apology to young Egypt fan after last-gasp winner

Mohamed Salah has apologised to a young Egyptian fan for leaving it so long to seal a win against Tunisia on Friday night.

The Liverpool star turned hero yet again as he scored a superb 90th minute goal to lead the Pharaohs to a 3-2 victory in their African Cup of Nations qualifier.

His match-winner arrived some time after a little girl in the crowd had been seen holding a sign reading: “Salah please score. I want to go home, I have homework.”

Having partially fulfilled the request, the forward took to Twitter after the game to respond to the support in typically-classy fashion.

Salah shouldered the responsibility late on to start and finish the move that would result in his eighth goal in his last eight international appearances.

The 2017/2018 Premier League Golden Boot winner played a neat one-two with Salah Mohsen before breaking one tackle and calmly finishing over goalkeeper Farouk Ben Mustapha.

It continued his recent rise to form, with Salah having scored five in his last six games for Liverpool to partially quash doubts over his scoring prowess.
