Sadio Mane agreed a new Liverpool deal that will keep him at the club until 2023, it was announced last night, and the man himself is just as happy and excited as everyone else.
Via the BBC, Mane said: “I am very happy to extend my time at Liverpool. It is a great day for me and I have made the best decision in my career.
“I am looking forward to everything – to helping the team, to helping the club achieve our dreams and, especially, to win trophies.
“I came here and was very happy.”
The news that Mane will be ending any speculation over his future comes just months after Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah extended their deals.
Jurgen Klopp has turned the club into a destination, not a stepping stone, and the Mane news is just the latest evidence of that.
