Loads of LFC fans spotted the same thing about Trent’s wonder-goal

Trent Alexander-Arnold scored maybe Liverpool’s goal of the season so far against Watford yesterday.

The fullback curled in a beautiful freekick from 30-yards out that left Ben Foster rooted to the spot.

Trent’s technique was sublime; mirroring the horizontal run-up style that David Beckham made famous in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

As a result, plenty of Liverpool fans spotted the similarity and voiced as much on Twitter.

The effort was Trent’s first of the campaign, but he did notch one for England in the most recent international break so is on a bit of a run!

With his ball-striking ability, Trent has the potential to score from both inside and outside the box – and we hope yesterday’s effort means he’ll be on dead balls from here on in.

If he can start crossing to an equally high standard from open play, Liverpool will be laughing!

Trent is currently in the final five nominees for this year’s Golden Boy – and with Kylian Mbappe competing for the Ballon d’Or instead – Liverpool’s Scouser has a genuine chance of scooping the gong.

What a talent we have on our hands…
