The Dutch prodigy, who made his first-team debut for Liverpool in the FA Cup defeat to Wolves earlier this month, was sent off for the U23s last night against Brighton.

We were 1-0 up at the time, but ended up drawing 1-1 with 10 men for over 70 minutes.
Hoever does foul the Brighton attacker, but there’s so obviously a covering defender that there’s now way it can given as a professional foul.
The 16-year-old was devastated and had to be held back by team-mates from remonstrating with the officials.
Football at his age is a learning curve, of course. He’ll bounce back.
