LFC scouts watch striker score; But United also keen

Liverpool are eying up a deal for prodigal striker Romello Mitchell, says the Mirror.

The 16-year-old plays for Birmingham City’s youth teams, and recently scored for the U18s against Sheffield Wednesday, in front of watching Anfield scouts.

The report says Manchester United also want Mitchell, who is extremely quick and a natural finisher.

Our U18 side currently has Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel up top; both of whom are talented goal-scorers in their own right – so perhaps one of those two would move to the U23s if Mitchell arrived.

We’re always on the lookout for talented youngsters, who will be automatically be attracted to Liverpool because of Jurgen Klopp’s happiness to use youngsters.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is a starter having graduated from the Academy, and the boss recently gave Ki-Jana Hoever a debut, aged just 16.
