Stats show worrying Alisson dip since turn of the year

Since the turn of the year, Alisson has let in seven of the 11 shots he’s faced.

Our superb defensive record has started to slip over recent weeks, with different players filling in at right-back, Virgil van Dijk playing through illness and Andy Robertson not at his brilliant best.

It’s not one player’s fault in particular, but the overall slump is damaging our chances of winning the Premier League title.

Alisson had the best save percentage of any keeper in Europe before Christmas, but we can imagine he’s dropped down the list now, although haven’t seen an updated list.

The Brazilian is superb, but like the rest of his team-mates, needs to step it up in the coming weeks.

Everyone now has to take responsibility to get us back on winning ways. Not just the backline, but the midfield and attack as well.

It’s Bournemouth this coming Saturday. Hopefully Anfield will be vibrant, noisy and not full of anxious fans, as was the case against Leicester City.
