Reds win at Fulham would mean more than just claiming PL top spot

Liverpool will beat last season’s Premier League points total if the Reds are able to register a victory at Craven Cottage this weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s men now sit on 73 points and adding a further three would see us climb to the top of the Premier League table, but that’s not all.

The Reds managed a tally of 75 last season. A win this weekend and we’d hit 76 with seven games remaining.

Last year’s statistics are stunning and we’re somehow doing even better now. Crazy!

Manchester City managed to collect 100 points last season but are only able to pick up a maximum of 98 this year.

If we win all of our remaining games then we’ll have collected 97 points.

Our current best ever Premier League finish was the 2008/09 season; the Reds picked up 86 points but finished second to Manchester United.

Our points tally for 2017/18 is our fifth best in the Premier League era and it speak volumes of Klopp’s impact at Liverpool.

The Reds have won the last five meetings with the Cottagers across all competitions – a new club record run versus the London side.

Liverpool have won 17, drawn four and lost six of their 27 Premier League meetings with the Cottagers so the numbers are on our side to get the job done.
