Liverpool’s U18 side are closing in on a spot in the FA Youth Cup, after winning the home-leg of the semi-final 2-1 at Anfield.
Young forward Paul Glatzel scored another brace, making it 28 for the season in total.
The left-footed attacker buried the ball after Bobby Duncan got onto the end of a bad back-pass, then slotted in another sloppy goal after his strike-partner’s effort was cleared off the line!
Duncan has been formidable this season as well, but Glatzel has been outscoring his team-mate recently.
We reckon both could get a chance in this summer’s pre-season friendlies – as will Rhian Brewster – once the youngster gains full fitness.
Jurgen Klopp could buy a striker at the end of this season, but we actually reckon he may just choose to blood our younger options instead, despite Daniel Sturridge leaving on a free transfer.
