Porto full back Danilo Pereira has spoken out ahead of Liverpool’s clash with the Portuguese giants – and how he plans to deal with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Bobby Firmino.
The Portugal international has admitted that the Reds are the favourites going into the opening Champions League quarter-final leg at Anfield.
“Liverpool are the favourites taking into account that they play at home. Their stadium is difficult to play at and it is normal for them to be the favourites. There is no feeling of revenge,” he’s quoted as saying by KingFut.com.
“Liverpool [are] a very offensive team. They can counterattack very easily, with very fast players. They have their flaws, but I’d rather not say them here because we have our own strategy. However, we want to exploit them to the fullest.”
“Playing against Salah, Firmino and Mane? They won’t get by me. That’s what I think and [I’ll] do my best to ensure that.”

Last year the Reds made their first Champions League final since 2007, but failed to put in a good enough performance against Real Madrid – not to mention the early injury to Salah – and walked away with the silver medal.
Liverpool will be hoping to replicate last season’s scintillating form with one major difference – a win in the final of Europe’s elite competition.
A strong victory against Porto is the right way to start that.
