Liverpool starting XI vs. Cardiff City; Fabinho rested for the Reds

Jurgen Klopp has opted for a strong side against Cardiff City as the Reds look to reclaim their spot at the summit of the Premier League table.

Between the sticks is, of course, Alisson and he’ll be supported by PFA Player of the Year nominee Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

In midfield, captain Jordan Henderson starts along with Gini Wijnaldum and high-flying Naby Keita in what makes for a dynamic trio.

In the absence of Fabinho, the skipper likely starts in the deeper ‘6’ role where he’s spent the majority of the last couple of seasons.

There’s no surprises up top as Klopp has gone for Mo Salah, Bobby Firmino and Virgil’s POTY award rival Sadio Mane.

A goal for the ‘Egyptian King’ this afternoon and he’ll join an illustrious club; Mo can become only the third player to score 20 goals in consecutive seasons for the Reds after Luis Suarez and the legendary Robbie Fowler.
