Rb Leipzig could snatch Liverpool ace one year after Naby Keita’s switch the other way

This is a move that undeniably makes sense for Rb Leipzig and Rafa Camacho, but perhaps less so for Liverpool.

The thing is, though – we’re unlikely to have much of a say in the matter.

According to Football Insider, the German club have set their sights on securing our Portuguese hotshot this summer, with Camacho’s contract expiring at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

The article suggests an offer of £10m+ is being readied, which when you consider Camacho’s talent and the fact he’s only 18, seems about right – despite the fact he’s only featured for Jurgen Klopp’s first-team on two occasions.

With the player not yet renewing Anfield terms, we’ll likely have to cash in if Camacho demands an exit for the first-team football that Rb Leipzig could provide him.

They have a far better chance of doing so than us, considering the phenomenal talent that currently starts up top in the Premier League and the Champions League for Liverpool.

Camacho recently scored a hat-trick for our U23s, and came out with a controversial post on Instagram that said those who considered him a right-back were wrong – although he followed that up with a long post about how Jurgen Klopp has done wonders for his young career.

In fairness, we wouldn’t begrudge Camacho a move to Germany, where he could flourish. It’ll be a shame to see him go, but this is part and parcel when the options in the first-team are so exceptional.
