As CEO, Peter Moore has sent out an authoritative plea to Reds “fans” who were causing trouble in the city of Barcelona yesterday.
A small group of supporters, who behaved appallingly and need to face punishment, were filmed racially abusing a local, elderly man in Barcelona and pushing him into a fountain.
We proudly sing that we’ve conquered all of Europe. But let’s treat this beautiful city with the respect that it deserves, and act in a manner that is befitting of LFC. By all means have a good time, but we are Liverpool, and as such, let’s visit here with grace and humility.

This kind of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable and it is so vital that Peter Moore has come out and issued a public statement on it.
It is an utter shame that he even has to say this, but his words are entirely, though unfortunately, necessary.
The club will hopefully deal with those responsible, who of course do not represent the vast majority of Reds fans – these people must not be allowed to attend the game at Camp Nou.
We need to take ownership of this issue and resolve it by denouncing their actions.
