Absolute pride, absolute passion – we looked Barcelona up and down, found them wanting, and completely obliterated them 4-0 at Anfield!
Every single Red out there on the pitch deserves the ultimate respect for pulling off one of the most amazing comebacks in footballing history. But, of course, there were a fair few of them that weren’t fit enough to make it.
As well as Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, who were at least able to attend the game at Anfield, spare a thought for Naby Keïta who posted a video on Instagram of him watching the game at home.
The Guinean finally found form towards the end of the season before it was cruelly snatched away from him when he picked up a campaign-ending injury in the first leg at Camp Nou.
Despite that, Keïta donned his kit and was glued to the screen, as nervous as all of us as the final minutes ticked down, he celebrated with clenched fists, head in his hands in disbelief, and applauding his teammates unbelievable effort.
Naby you priceless legend!
