Trent stayed on Anfield pitch after FT delivering right-footed crosses

Trent absolutely loves it, doesn’t he?!

After his team-mates had left the pitch yesterday, our 20-year-old fullback stayed on and delivered whipped crosses for his actual-mates!

This picture is doing the rounds on Twitter – and we appreciate it massively.

Our right-back assisted both of Sadio Mane’s goals v Wolves yesterday, but only one of them will be counted as the first took a deflection on its way into the box, sadly.

Still, his 12 assists for the Premier League campaign is a new record from a defender – beating Leighton Baines’ 11 from the 2010/11 season.

And in total, Trent is on 16 for the season, including his four in the Champions League, which obviously included that remarkable corner against Barcelona last week.

It’s crazy to think that a 20-year-old Scouser starts for us in defence and is already the best in his position on the planet.

How good is he going to be in five years’ time?!

Trent genuinely has the potential to become an all-time great.

He’s a once in a generation talent.
